Welcome to the Home of the Avoyelles High Mustangs!

In the Fall of 1988 Moreauville High closed their doors and the newly consolidated Avoyelles High School steadily emerged. Having recently celebrated our 20th Anniversary, the communities of Moreauville, Bordelonville, Hamburg, Simmesport, Plaucheville, and Mansura continue to join hearts and hands to become ONE school. With the adding of the 7th and 8th graders from Mansura Middle School just two years ago, we continue to grow. The "blue and gold" strive to be the "Pride of the Parish" in all that we do whether in the classroom or on the field. A NEW breed of Mustang has definitely appeared on the scene, since two decades ago, and these Mustangs trot across our changing campus with their heads held high. As the gait of this Mustang varies from a slow and steady trot to a swift gallop, the movement of the students and faculty of AHS also varies. Some days are relaxed and easy, while others are busy and hectic. But no matter how you look at it...this is the way we move! We hope you enjoy your visit to our website, but even better...drop by and see what is going on in our classrooms and on our campus. We are almost 800 strong and growing each and every day in so many different ways.
